A pair of whimsical ladybugs join together in this charming vintage novelty belt with figural bug buckle by Mimi di N, from the early 70s.
The well made belt consists of a very dark (almost black) navy blue pleather or faux leather plastic, with attached buckles of cast gold-plated ladybugs with decorative enameled dots.
Each bug measures approximately 2&1/4 inches top to bottom from extended leg to extended leg, and when combined, the buckle measures approximately 3&1/4 inches across.
The belt itself measures 1&3/16 inches wide by approximately 35&1/4 inches in length (including buckles).
The base of the buckle is marked “Mimi de Ni”, with copyright symbol, and the date “1972”.
